National Park Foundation
The National Park Foundation’s Open Outdoors for Kids Initiative grant help to provide access for 4th grade classes to experiential, outdoor experiences that promote physical and emotional health, civic engagement and long-term appreciation for nature.Â

NEA Foundation Student Success Grants
The National Education Association Foundation Student Achievement Grants have funded thousands of educators on a wide range of projects that improve student learning including educational field trips for K-12 grades.
ELIGIBILITY: Grants are available to current members of the National Education Association who are educators in public schools or public institutions of higher education.
American Battlefield Trust
The American Battlefield Trust strongly believes that battlefields are outdoor classrooms. The Trust’s Field Trip Fund provides funding and assistance to Nationwide K-12 teachers, who are planning field trips to Civil War, War of 1812, or Revolutionary War battlefields or related historic sites.
Barney Family Foundation
The Barney Family Foundation’s focus is mainly on early education and health research. Since the Foundation does not have a small grants committee, it has adopted a policy of making and recommending grants in amounts greater than one thousand dollars. Corning Foundation
The Corning Foundation develops and supports projects in educational, cultural, and community organizations. Corning’s areas of involvement have included community service programs for students, curriculum enrichment, student scholarships, facility improvement, and instructional technology projects for the classroom. Environmental Education Grants Program, EPA
Under The Environmental Education Grants Program, EPA seeks grant applications from eligible applicants to support environmental education projects that promote environmental awareness and stewardship and help provide people with the skills to take responsible actions to protect the environment. Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin provides grants for K-16 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education for public schools. This includes Lockheed Martin’s K-12 STEM Education Initiative, Engineers in the Classroom, as well as STEM-focused curricular and extracurricular programs. Applications are accepted year-round. Evaluations are typically performed quarterly. Some grant applications may not be able to be considered until the next year’s budget cycle, particularly those received in the second half of the year. New Jersey State House Tours
The Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University administers the State House Express, which can help offset transportation costs for classes visiting the New Jersey State House. Awards are up to $750, based on need.

WildPlay Grants
Get your next field trip to WildPlay funded! The Connect Kids Field Trip Grant is a reimbursement grant program that covers transportation, program fees, and entry fees for school field trips to State Parks. It offers funding, and both WildPlay Jones Beach and WildPlay Thacher are located in New York State Parks!
Eligible organizations include: public schools; county, city, town or village youth bureaus; schools for the deaf and blind; and BOCES programs. Select not-for-profits providing after-school, extracurricular, and summer youth programs may also be eligible.
